September 24, NEW YORK CITY —THE BUCKMINSTER FULLER INSTITUTE announced today that they are extending the deadline for submissions to the 2011 Buckminster Fuller Challenge by two weeks.
THE NEW DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS OCTOBER 22ND AT 5PM EDT.
"We are looking forward to digging in to this year's pool of submissions and have extended the deadline to ensure that the efforts we have made to reach out far and wide yield the best crop of whole-systems, integrated solutions yet! We want to make sure that anyone seriously engaged in this kind of work knows about The Challenge and has the time they need to submit a high quality proposal. We will be back out on the West Coast mid-October for a final outreach push Oct. 13-15th in San Francisco and at the Bioneers conference where a number of great Challenge proposals will be featured. Join us!" said Elizabeth Thompson, BFI's Executive Director.
You've decided to enter the Buckminster Fuller Challenge because you have a strong driven ethic to make the world work for 100% of humanity and are applying sound whole systems design in your approach, or as Bucky termed it Comprehensive Anticipatory Design Science (CADS). Below are tips and tools you can use to help promote your accomplishment— from the beginning stages of entering the Challenge to becoming the Winner and beyond.
