Watz is an artist based in New York and Oslo. He works extensively with generative design and code to explore the creative outputs of virtual spaces defined by rule-based systems and visual abstraction through generative systems. In 2005 Watz founded Generator.x, a curatorial platform that has resulted in a series of events related to generative art and design. In 2005 Watz received an honorary mention from Prix Ars Electronica for his project Universal Digest Machine. Watz lecturers at the Oslo School of Architecture and the Oslo National Academy of the Arts on topics such as computational aesthetics, live cinema and digital fabrication. unlekker.net
