»Ken Goldberg«
Der Amerikaner Ken Goldberg studierte Electronical Engineering und Management an der University of Edinburgh, der University of Pennsylvania und am Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa und promovierte 1990 an der Carnegie Mellon Universität in Pittsburgh im Fach Computer Science. Seither ist er vor allem als Wissenschaftler und Künstler im Bereich Telerobotik tätig. Goldberg war Gastprofessor am San Francisco Art Institute und am MIT Media Lab und ist seit den neunziger Jahren an der University of California in Berkeley Professor. Für seine künstlerischen Arbeiten wurde er u.a. 1995 mit dem Preis des Interactive Media Festivals in Kobe ausgezeichnet. Zu seinen Werken gehören u.a. "The Telegarden" (1995), "Legal Tender" (1996), "Dislocation of Intimacy" (1998), "Mori" (1999), "Ouija" (2000) und "The Tele-Actor" (2001).
