»Luc Courchesne«
Als studierter Kommunikationswissenschaftler arbeitet Luc Courchesne nach Forschungen am MIT in Boston seit Ende der 80er Jahre mit interaktiven Videoinstallationen und lehrt heute in Montreal. Nach vielen Experimenten mit Fotografie, Film und Video konzentrierte sich seine Arbeit auf die Darstellung von Porträts und panoramatischen Installationen mit interaktivem Video. 1995 war Courchesne Gastkünstler am ZKM in Karlsruhe, seine interaktiven Installationen finden internationale Beachtung, u. a. mehrfach bei der Ars Electronica Linz. 1997 wurde er mit dem "Grand Prix" der Biennale 1997 des ICC (InterCommunication Center) Tokio ausgezeichnet. Zu Courchesnes Werken zählen u.a. »Elastique Movies« (1984), »Encyclopedia Chiaroscuro« (1987), "Portrait One" (1990), »Family Portrait« (1993), "Hall of Shadows" (1996), »Landscape One« (1997), »Passages« (1998) und »Rendez-vous« (1999).
