Maurice Benayoun (F), born 1957, teaches "Art Video and New Images" at the University of Paris. Participation in research projects about special effects and the contribution of new technologies to audio-visual production and to artistic creativity within the Centre de Recherche et d'Étude sur le Cinema et les Arts Audiovisuels (CRECA), and the Centre de Recherche sur l'Image (CRI). 1993 prize-winner of the Villa Medicis Hors Les Murs of the Foreign Ministry for his A.M.E. project, a contemporary art collection in virtual reality. Numerous videos about art. Maurice Benayoun was awarded a Distinction by the Prix Ars Electronica jury for his entry Quarxs in the category Computer Animation.
